The primary programs are:
Residents Network builds the capacity of residents to become versatile problem solvers in any area that is important to them. By integrating the priorities and actions of residents with those of resource and service providers, MCP has improved systems and made important neighborhood improvements. Service Network coordinates agencies that serve the Monument Community in the areas of health, social services, education, economic development and housing. Business Alliance supports the economic vitality of the community, offering goods, services and special events (i.e., Monument Pride Festival) to encourage residents to shop locally. The Alliance creates Business-to-Business support, sponsors community events, provides employment opportunities and its members actively participate in nurturing the community as a whole to ensure a safe, stable, healthy, active and accessible community for all.
Plus One:
Local Government Liaison MCP is the conduit between the various city and county agencies. With a high density population of immigrants, there can be difficulty in establishing rapport between the governmental officials and the community stakeholders. MCP partners with Concord City Council, the Redevelopment Agency, Economic Development Department, County Supervisors, state and federal officials to facilitate meetings as needed, provide interpretation and coordinate meetings.
